Had an awesome ski trip over this past weekend down in BrianHead. Both of my uncles own condos down there, so we stayed in my uncle Grants, and cousin Sam is there ever weekend and stays in his parents while he works at Georg’s Ski Shop, as the master boot fitter, sales man, ski tech, and everything else. We drove down Friday afternoon and hung out with Sam and relaxed in the hot tub. We skied saturday and had Sam work on my boots, he is a pro and fixed my boots so that they don’t hurt anymore, a feeling I haven’t had in a very long time, the lack of pain is amazing. In the afternoon we followed Sam around on the hill as he coached the kids ski team there. Needless to say it was an awesome short get away and we had great weather, good snow, good food and company. Then we had to come home to go to school and work in the smog.
Thanks Sam for fixing my boots, and thanks uncles for letting us stay at your place.
I have to say I am not a huge fan of In-N-Out. I love a good burger and burger joints, but In-N-Out just doesn’t do it for me. It has such a huge reputation, everyone seems to love it. Mile long drive through lines and hour waits. When Heather and I stopped the other night at around 10 it was the first time I had seen an end to the drive through line. What I don’t get though is why? I don’t get it, I don’t think it is really that amazing of a burger. I am not saying that it isn’t good at all, I just don’t think it is worth all the fuss. I am not saying that I would rather go to Burger King or McDonalds,I do think it is better than that. I am just saying I would much rather go to Five Guys or Crown Burger.
On Saturday we went to Litza’s pizza with Heather family . Then we went down to Temple Square to walk around and look at the lights. With the Mo-Tab program, the Jazz game, Kurt Bestor concert, ballet, and still a packed temple square it was quite the evening. Here are some of the pics I took of the downtown lights.
